Today I'm looking at GoDaddy.com. This is a hosting site which means you are able to create, host, and manage your own website from this site/company.
When the homepage of GoDaddy.com is run through the validator we can see there are some problems. The homepage fails to validate with 7 errors and 5 warnings. It is important to note that one of the errors is classified as a fatal error which does not allow the validator to search beyond that point.
If I was going to have a site I would have one to promote myself. I'd like something that I can send to potential employers to learn more about me. This in mind I'd choose a domain name like stefansmoke.com.
Lucky for me GoDaddy.com actually has stefansmoke.com available for purchase right now. However, there is also stefansmokes.net and stefansmokes.co that are available in the top 3 listings.
The site structure looks good but the colors they chose seem to blend into the white background making it very hard to read the small text that is littered around the site.
Due to the high contrast of the site I have to give the site a 6/10 for design. Good structure but bad color pallette.
The site is very intuative to use. Hovering over anything clickable gives you feedback letting you know that it is an interactable element. Besides that there is plenty of information that allows you to find most things you would need from the homepage.
Due to the great usability I give this site a 8/10!
