This site is used to book trips. Whether via car, plane, or train expedia will help you book it.
The home page does not validate on validator.w3.org. When the homepage of the site is run through the validator there are 69 errors and 186 warnings just on the home page
The second page I chose was expedia.com/cars. When run through the validator this site did worse with 82 errors and 125 warnings.
The design is very clean and provides all the information you need on the home page. The style is simplistic which leaves many blank spaces that could be used for showing information/infographics to the user.
Overall I'll give this site a 7/10. Very bland.
Site usability is fantastic. I am able to find travel times, venues, airlines, etc.. quicly all from the home page. A critical point in the usability is the correct usage of the different form elements the site uses.
With all this in mind I give the site usability 9/10. Very easy to use and navigate.
Yes, the site is able to show the user availabilities all over the world for vacationing. The site is simple and easy to use for everyone even though the site seems visually bare it has all the tools a person needs to book their next vacation.
